The consistency of the socialist Latin
seems to be faced with two very different lists in the next regional committee of the Young Socialists in Madrid. One is led by its Secretary General, Daniel Mendez, and another is a critical juncture in his conduct of the Youth in Madrid, and basically a list that supports Thomas Gomez.
I personally was very clear and I see no good that is Tomás Gómez for a reason: there is no opposition. But it is a socialist, and if elected will support him also from my critical voice, and if improvement and knows how to give yourself the best I can say, Eureka, it was time!
But I always will support someone very important in my political conception: José Cepeda. And tell you why, telling a story:
was 2003, during the election campaign of local and regional elections, with Trinidad Jimenez as a candidate by the City and Rafael Simancas by the Community. I still, 14 years, has just taken over the past year the need for a political idea. Marxism Leninism, Trotskyism up, which was child, I came to socialism. And at what point! In the midst of political protest against Aznar left office.
And in that, there was a rally in my neighborhood, Aluche, where they came from the two candidates and also an Assembly candidate who was also the same district in America. Was Jose Cepeda. I still remember perfectly that "we will fill with fists and roses the polls." And what if we made it! While the PSOE won those elections. The sad part came later.
But at that moment, I finally opted for the Socialist Party. It was a great speech, left the great, great integration project in Spain and Madrid. And Cepeda, someone who is not a political but a neighbor of mine more. And I thought I was.
spent a lot until I remember well, the February 2, 2006, when I went to the youth of my district, to join. He, unlike many people, a concept of positive politics. I thought, and I think that many people served without bothering to have negative personal ambitions. Socialism is something higher, is the union to make a more just world. And I would put my particular grain of sand.
But not many months passed, until from the regional bureau of the Young, from the Organization Secretariat, was mounted with detestable practices and unethical, a motion of censure against an elected executive a month earlier! It was a huge bucket of cold water, an awakening of my blindness. Because people was that there was negligible in politics! And not from the top, but from the scale small, even from a youth organization whose main purpose is to be the vehicle for driving the problems of young people under socialism.
What a disappointment, frankly. It broke my heart, because in the youth, my youth, and in the party, my party, with all my heart that I love because they are the greatest work he could do Pablo Iglesias and English workers, had bad apples inside !
With much effort, all we participated in directing the youth of my district, we got knock that nonsense, and those despicable, had received what they deserved: defeat. The Youth, as Cadiz under the French invasion, had resisted.
The next year, hit a congressional process in the Socialist Youth of Madrid. Oscar Blanco left the General Secretariat. I do that in between 2006 and 2007 I devoted myself to think only of my work locally, in the face of my neighbors had not noticed anything beyond America. Generates an act and little else, but, silly me, I thought everything was just as happy in America. So every time someone says something against my group, I think, "But, what is? We thought he had learned his lesson and now exert exquisite work. We gave the guarantees it needed to run as a candidate because we thought it would recognize the weight and the work of my group. Poor fools! Nothing, absolutely nothing. Sure, and we must recognize that we offered a position vase, to do nothing and shut our mouths. And of course, because we were not dumber. And so, one of the most active groups and weight stayed off.
did not matter that we leave everything for the youth of our district, like we were always given where necessary. Our work did not matter, because, between personal ambition and merit group, the ill can be more personal. As I said, the merit of others creates resentment.
Still, I give up. We continue our local efforts, we choose a new local executive and a new Secretary General, but the resentment toward our group did not cease. No matter who was, because he was an enemy to beat. We on our part, we kept the regional distrust of the device but we have not done anything destabilizing, we took the opportunity to amend the old mistakes.
But no, the great efforts of the Youth of Madrid went to secure a few seats on the ballot in the general election. Why? To armchairs. All efforts to chairs, fees and perks to those who dance on water. Merit, and work, are conspicuous by their absence.
As it turns out he has a policy based on the distribution of charges and rewards, without any plans or ideas, it is logical starting with the disaffection. And little by little it has been a trickle of criticism of the management. Maintained coherence America! And besides, all the critics are the same that kept America: Daniel Mendez is a mobster.
Here the story ends, at the present time. Thus, we explain the origin of the two lists: one official and one critical. And the very coherence of America, which has been devoting himself to his local work, to seek integration and regional executive redeem their mistakes, and maintain a critical stance on the misuse of the Youth of Madrid. Without getting into the ideological positioning of other groups, their internal action, America is presented as the same consistency, which is that the good work must not be divorced from politics, because that is thwarting the hopes of both the thousands of militants working for her for nothing and millions of English people who crave a left clean and strong.
I think Jose Cepeda was right to stand as an alternative after the defeat of Rafael Simancas. The PSM, after the betrayal of Tamayo, was deprived of its autonomy to have excessive control by the federal PSOE, which in this case has not been well mano. Y Cepeda, aunque no ganara frente a Tomás Gómez, representa ese PSM de las bases que no quiere que le hagan un no-discurso, un socialismo derechista para caer bien a los poderosos a ver si así nos deja gobernar, un hacer y deshacer desde Ferraz sin tener en cuenta las bases de Madrid: por eso se perdió en 2007. Simancas, en su momento, en 2003, lo hizo bien: se acabó la mayoría absoluta conservadora. Simancas, al perder la oportunidad, lo hizo mal: se agarró al cargo y perdió el discurso.
